The closing ceremony of the first "Macedonian Fighter" back in 2008 that took place in Rentina Hellenic Army Special Forces Camp .

Dummy Guns

The training weapon in the photos above the text is a "dummy gun" type of armament. This is the same as the ones that we promised that all the competents will carry during the "MACEDONIAN FIGHTER 2011". There going to be exactly the same as the one in the photos ( black, with serial number, with no other component and with a blue line around the barrel just to remind and to indicate that this is an inactive matterial just made out of plastic).

Dear comrades

There is less than a month until the MACEDONIAN FIGHTER international military competition begins. Along with that our anxiety, to fulfill our promises concerning the competition and to manage everything to be perfect and on time, rises to climax. As we previously promised, at this year there will be innovations that will raise the whole competition to another level, such as the Boat Search & Seizure station /evaluation.

John McAleese (Mac)
Co-Founder and Operational Director of NNK group.

23 years in service with British Army , with 17 to 22nd SAS Regiment.
Among others an expert in explosives , VIP protection , and special anti-terrorism missions.
Had planned and operated missions in almost all countries as in the Falklands War and in Northern Ireland.
Played a key role in the recapture of the Iranian Embassy in May 1980 in London.
He was a bodyguard of three British Prime Ministers and six Members of the Royal Family.

Accomodation

We are uploading some photos of the Byzantine  Monastery where the teams will stay and it is also the starting point of the competition .

The morning of Sunday 8th of May there will be an Orthodox Liturgy that anyone who wishes can  attend.

General Info

Macedonian Fighter is a National Military Competition for reservists.

It is organized for 4th year from LEFED Hellenic Armed Forces Reserves Club of Thessaloniki with the participation of other Clubs ,Organizations  and Companies.
Teams must be of 4 but if an individual wants to participate we will find him/her a team.

The purpose of the competition is to bring together the reservist community of Greece to meet and know its other, train and compete to military skills.

When
Macedonian Fighter 2011 will take for Friday 6th to Sunday 8th of May.
Teams can check in from 1200 Fr. 6/05/11 to 0600 Sat. 7/05/11.
Competition will start at 0800 Sat 7/05/11 and will end 2200 Sat 7/05/11.

At last the closing ceremony will start 1130 Sun 8/05/11 and will last about 2 hours.

Where

The competition will take place in the area of Megali Panagia  - Halkidiki - Greece.
All the teams will stay in the Byzantine Monastery of Megali Panagia which is also the starting point.

Stations

The announced station are subject to changes and modification. The appeared order is random and the organization committee is working on certain modification that may result
some slight changes. 

A quick (commando) march about 15 or 20km that will be timed for extra bonus points. The teams must be equipped with their own load bearing -vests weighting no less than 7kg. vests will be checked at each station. 

 






Once more this year Fast Rope is included in the rappel station, a skill of ever increasing importance especially in maritime operations which happen to be the main theme of this year's competition.

Time has come for the exercise “Macedonian Fighter 2011” , and we would like to inform you about the  developments that we have on the performance and innovations that we promised, and about the stations so that you will be more prepared and ready.

We made a special effort to get the right people in the proper position.
So except from the excellent member of the Greek Special Forces “Uncle Goo” who shared with us his knowledge last year (He will most probably participate again this year) we will have the honor and pleasure to have the best in their specialty assessors who will assist with their knowledge
