Macedonian Fighter is a National Military Competition for reservists.
It is organized for 4th year from LEFED Hellenic Armed Forces Reserves Club of Thessaloniki with the participation of other Clubs ,Organizations and Companies.
Teams must be of 4 but if an individual wants to participate we will find him/her a team.
The purpose of the competition is to bring together the reservist community of Greece to meet and know its other, train and compete to military skills.Teams must be of 4 but if an individual wants to participate we will find him/her a team.
When
Macedonian Fighter 2011 will take for Friday 6th to Sunday 8th of May.
Teams can check in from 1200 Fr. 6/05/11 to 0600 Sat. 7/05/11.
Competition will start at 0800 Sat 7/05/11 and will end 2200 Sat 7/05/11.
At last the closing ceremony will start 1130 Sun 8/05/11 and will last about 2 hours.
Where
The competition will take place in the area of Megali Panagia - Halkidiki - Greece.
All the teams will stay in the Byzantine Monastery of Megali Panagia which is also the starting point.

Cost
The cost is 30 euros and cover mostly the ammunition , the breakfast and meal of Saturday ,the Saturday night Bar-B-Q and the closing ceremony.
Equipment
You can bring all of you equipment except firearms - explosives and anything thats illegal.
What you must have is your national combat uniform and also your load bearing - vest weight at least 7 kilos also you will need a second uniform since you are going to get wet.
The organization committee will provide all teams with M4 carbine model blue guns that you will carry with you all the time. We suggest that you will bring your slings and also any add ons (flashlight) that you use with your rifle. Also we strongly suggest to use tropical patterns of your national uniform since the May in Greece is summer.

How do i get there
The closer international airport is the airport of Thessaloniki ( SKG ).
Thessaloniki is 84 km from Megali Panagia about 1 and a half hour with car.
You can also use the coach from Thessaloniki since there is no train to Halkidiki.

From Thessalonikis ring road we drive to east and to THERMI junction .
After the juntion we are heading to VASILIKA then to Ag.Prodromos - Arnaia - Palaiohori - Megali Panagia.
Important
Since you are wiling to participate book your participation as soon as possible because we can have only 5 international teams. The Macedonian Fighter is a National competition and we already have 23 Greek teams when we were plannig for a total of 20 teams(Greek and International).
